Dear colleague,

You’ve been asking the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health to help public health practitioners, researchers, and decision makers share what works to advance health equity.

Today, we are pleased to launch Health Equity Clicks: Community, an online community where members can:

  • Collaborate with like-minded colleagues working across Canada
  • Ask questions in a safe space
  • Share your work and experiences
  • Participate in networking events

Health Equity Clicks: Community was designed using social learning and communities of practice theories and experience[1].

The development and design of the community was also informed by the requests and suggestions made by over 350 public health practitioners who responded to our survey, took part in key informant interviews, and/or attended workshops earlier this year. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm, support, and desire to form this community.

Join me, and other community members, by signing up at http://nccdh.ca/community

You will be asked to create an account. As soon as you join, you can start a conversation, a question, share a resource, and more. Should you have questions, please contact Pemma Muzumdar.

We have worked hard to make it easy for you to participate, whether you are new to public health, new to virtual communities, or already very savvy.

We look forward to a vibrant community.

Connie Clement, Scientific Director
