Newfoundland and Labrador Public Health Association
The Newfoundland and Labrador Public Health Association (NLPHA) is a non-profit, independent, voluntary organization that advocates for the health and well being of the people and communities of Newfoundland and Labrador. The NLPHA includes a broad membership of health professionals, community members and affiliated organizations who promote and support public health.
In October 2012 the NLPHA collaborated with the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health and National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools to deliver “New Realities, same determinants of health: Your role in advancing health equity in Newfoundland and Labrador”. The workshop summary describes the event proceedings and provides highlights of the participant evaluations.
- In November 2015 the NLPHA published a position paper on food security.
