Manitoba Centre for Health Policy
The Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) is a research centre of excellence within the Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba that conducts population-based research on health services, population and public health, and the social determinants of health. The work of MCHP supports the development of policy, programs and services that maintain and improve the health of Manitobans.
- The MCHP published a 2010 paper titled: Health Inequities in Manitoba: Is the Socioeconomic Gap Widening or Narrowing Over Time? Led by Patricia Martens, this research team provided extensive data on health outcomes and the income gap, looking at health disparities by neighbourhood.
