Poverty Free Saskatchewan
Poverty Free Saskatchewan (PFS) is a network of individuals, community organizations, governments and businesses that aims to reduce economic inequality and eliminate poverty across the province. Members include the Canadian Center for Policy Alternatives Saskatchewan, the Regina Anti-Poverty Coalition, the Saskatoon Anti-Poverty Coalition, Saskatoon Health Region, Primary Care and others. Together, they engage in partnership building, community engagement and advocacy around the issue of poverty in Saskatchewan.
PFS published a discussion document, Let’s Do Something About Poverty, highlighting the issue of poverty and economic inequality.
- Following publication of this report, PFS held a series of community consultations on the topic of poverty reduction. Results of these discussions have been summarized in a report published earlier this year.
PFS is currently working on a comprehensive provincial poverty reduction plan.
