The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit partners with internal stakeholders and community organizations to develop strategies and actions to address the social determinants of health. It has a cross-program advisory committee dedicated to shaping the organization’s approach to health equity work, and is actively involved with the alPHa/OPHA Health Equity Working Group, and the SDOH Provincial Public Health Nursing Group Located in southern Ontario, it provides programs and services for more than 500,0000 residents across 26 municipalities.
