This national 2022 Report Card from Campaign 2000 analyzes tax data and includes policy recommendations to eradicate child and family poverty. The study found that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, child poverty rates dropped by 40% in Canada – largely because of temporary pandemic income supports. Ten provincial and territorial report cards are available or forthcoming as well.
