This article by Liu, et al describes the disproportionately high rate of recently homeless Ontarians to experiencing an emergency department visit due to drug overdoses during the COVID-19 pandemic re-opening. Public health and policy interventions for supportive housing, harm reduction and substance use treatment must be priorities for pandemic response and recovery.
