Join us for an engaging webinar exploring British Columbia's Population and Public Health Framework: Strengthening Public Health. This new strategy was made in B.C., for B.C., and honours and upholds the critical work of the population and public health sector, which has gained increased prominence since the COVID-19 pandemic. This session will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the Framework's vision, purpose, foundational principles, and functions, as well as the six priorities to advance further implementation. It will delve into innovative aspects, such as the Determinants of Health Model, and outline next steps for B.C.’s health system and partners. Participants will gain valuable insight into wise practices and lessons learned, and opportunities to continue to collaborate toward equitable and sustainable population and public health action.

Webinar objectives:

• To inform participants about B.C.’s Population and Public Health Framework, including its development, key components (vision, purpose, foundational principles, and functions) and the six population and public health priorities.
• To inform participants about visionary elements in the Framework, including Determinants of Health model and further monitoring and evaluation approaches.
• To discuss next steps for B.C.’s health system and partners, and engage participants on wise practices and lessons learned for population and public health strategy implementation.
