About this series

Series Please join us for a 3-part network conversation about becoming a network-of-networks to support intersectoral action and nurture an eco-social wellbeing movement in Canada. Participants at our three 90-minute sessions will learn more about this collaborative project, and explore three thematic areas alongside presentations (1 English/1 French) from network-based organizations sharing concrete examples of what they are learning. These session will be bilingual (English/French) and include small group discussions in both languages. Participants will learn from each other and provide reflections that will help guide the next steps for the project.

Who should attend?

Anyone curious about networks and intersectoral action to address the ecological, social and structural determinants of health and wellbeing in Canada is encouraged to attend.

Objectives:

  • Learn from network organizations and each other about how networks can support intersectoral action
  • Provide reflections to guide next steps of the project

Event format:

Each session will include 2 presentations (1 English/1 French) with simultaneous translation, and breakout discussion groups in English or French. A summary of each session and key themes from the small group discussions will be publicly available following the meeting. Participation in all three sessions is encouraged.

Network implementation from an Indigenous perspective

We will explore:

  • What are Indigenous-focused networks learning (urban and rural) about how to create and sustain flourishing networks that make a difference?
  • What network engagement tools are working and how might we strengthen relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous networks? (e.g. Two-Eyed Seeing approach)
