This journal article by Bambra et al. explores the gender health paradox of COVID-19 through biological, social, economic and public policy explanations. It includes a discussion of how gender intersects with lockdown measures and morbidity/mortality rates, as well as the long-term consequences of COVID-19 gender inequalities for population health.
