What are the factors that influence health? And, what are the opportunities for integrated, networked public health action at multiple levels?

In this webinar, Pemma Muzumdar and Jonathan Heller, authors of “Let’s Talk: Determinants of Health”, will explore these questions and more, and reflect on the wider forces and systems that interact with the conditions of daily life.

Pemma and Jonathan will:

  1. review updated descriptions for the structural, social and ecological determinants of health.

  2. share a tree metaphor for conveying these concepts

  3. reflect on how concepts such as these determinants of health fit together

  4. discuss opportunities for public health action at multiple levels

This webinar will be of interest to:

  • Students and early career public health practitioners from multiple disciplines
  • Public health practitioners wishing to learn more about interrelated determinants of health and opportunities for improved action

Objectives:

  • Describe interrelated social, ecological and structural determinants of health.
  • Use a tree metaphor to explore the connections between these terms and your own local context and practice.
  • Reflect on opportunities to address the underlying drivers of health inequities.

This webinar will be delivered in English. Registration will be limited; however, the event will be recorded and made available on this page following the webinar
