This report from the Public Health Agency of Canada summarizes the proceedings of a July 2020 virtual Best Brains Exchange (BBE) hosted in partnership with the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR).
The event was designed to bring together experts and policymakers to understand the intersections of COVID-19 and the structural determinants of health in Canada. Discussions focussed on Indigenous health, economic factors, employment opportunities, living conditions and access to health and social supports, as well as recommendations for addressing health inequities in recovery from the pandemic.
